DREAM FACTORY Mario E. Bautista * * * Denise Laurel is one of Star Magic’s most talented young stars. She started in "Ang TV" and became a contravida in "Pangako sa Iyo" when she was only 11 as Ina Raymundo’s daughter. She then did "Click" with GMA-7 and was also seen briefly in "Mulawin" and "Encantadia." When MTV Asia held an audition here, she took it and was hired as part of "Rouge," a TV shown aired all over Asia where she played a singer called Pat. She stayed there for one year and when she returned home, she went back to ABS-CBN and became part of Star Magic. She’s in the movie "First Day High" and was seen opposite Sam Milby, with whom she earlier appeared in his Close-Up commercial, in "Star Magic Presents" last Saturday. She also appeared in "ASAP." Denise is the youngest child of David, younger brother of Cocoy Laurel. We tell her she looks so much like her Lola Celia Diaz-Laurel. Her grandpa, the late Doy Laurel, passed away last year and she came home from Singapore to help take care of him. Denise turned 19 on September 30. She admits going steady with AJ, the youngest son of Gina Alajar, for three years. "But we decided we’re still too young to be in a serious relationship so we now want to grow muna individually," she adds. TWO ‘ex’ Abt Ur Luv stars are part of the September birthday presscon ng Star Magic, pero parehong hindi naka-attend.
Among the first to leave the Saturday teen show of ABS before Pilipinas Game KNB is a favorite PBB Teen Edition housemate of ours, si Joaqui Mendoza. He prioritized his schooling sa Ateneo over career although may bago siyang show sa Channel 23, ang Rush TV kasama sina Dino Imperial and Say Alonzo. He turned 19 last Sept. 13 kaso school day ‘yun so hindi nakasipot sa birthday presscon.
After the first season naman, umalis na rin si Denise Laurel sa Abt Ur Luv dahil naging busy siya sa iba pang assignments sa ABS. Right now she’s part of Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos and Pedro Penduko, and soon kasama rin siya sa Prinsesa ng Banyera.
Nasa Spain si Denise during the presscon taping an episode for Maaalala Mo Kaya. This Sunday pa lang ang birthday niya and she’s turning 20.
Expect to see them tomorrow sa ASAP.

Marami pang naka-line up na ***-win si Denise sa Dos. Siya ang gaganap na batang Jacklyn Jose sa Prinsesa ng Banyera. JANUARY 28, 2007..tagal na noh bumibili lang ng sapatos then nakita ko xa.............. mejo matagal-tagal na nga.. pero ok lng un.. atleast, before ka nkapuntang abroad, nkita mo xa! ;D greenhills?  mall ba yan? hehe.. d pa kc ako nakapuntang manila.. tpos? d ka lumapit sa knya at humingi ng autograph?? hehe kung ako pa eh, humingi nko ng autograph at nkipapicture na rin! nyahaha sa tngin ko ganun dn c mich! haha tatalon-talon pa un! kainez nga nung nka-visit xa sa cebu, hnd ko tlga alam! kya pla sbi nya sa multiply nya "catch ya in cebu!" pra sa ponds life nya..  bka nag malling dn xa d2.. sna nkita ko na lng din xa.. ehehe |
